Gingerbread Man, Visitors and More

The Gingerbread Man disappeared but then we had a letter from him explaining that he was not lost but had run away. We have had some postcards from him all the way from Las Vegas, South Africa, India, Japan and Bali.

Nurse Wardle came to talk to us about her job and about keeping healthy.

We went on a frosty walk and found these treasures.

When it snowed we went outside and when we came back in we made Snowman Soup to warm up!

We have been watching the birds and counting those we see. We have made a bird hide and bird feeders.

We were talking about shapes, patterns, length and distance as we made kites. We then tested and adapted or changed them.

We learned about Chinese New Year.

Here we are at our Bedtime Story Evening.

Our parents came in again to see our Learning Journeys.

We had a visit from some mini monsters!

We have been reading the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes by Jan Fearnley. Mr Wolf read a recipe, wrote a shopping list, counted his money, bought the ingredients and made pancakes. We decided to buy ingredients for pancakes too then we made and ate them!

Sorry that there are no photos yet but we have had a technical problem with the internet and Blogger. Hopefully, lots of photos to come soon!

Happy New Year

Over the Christmas holiday our photo was in the Diss Express. It showed us at a care home in Diss singing Christmas carols with the residents. They joined in with Away in Manger and The Twelve Days of Christmas. The residents loved our singing!

We have all settled back into Bumblebee Class. We have been finding out about how to keep safe online. We heard about a penguin called Smartie who learned to use his new tablet safely. We then used the Internet to find out about Mrs Sullivan's Giant African Land Snails.

Elodie made us all gingerbread men for Christmas so we decided to listen to the story about The Gingerbread man. We made gingerbread men and iced them. We counted the buttons on other gingerbread men and found out how many there were altogether.

Family Learning Journey Morning and Posting Letters to Santa

Our families came today look at our work. They noticed lots of things that we have got better at.

We then walked safely to the post office to post our letters to Santa. We talked about how the letters might travel in a lorry, a train, helicopter or an aeroplane to get to the North Pole.

Road Safety

We have been learning to cross the road safely. We took turns to be pedestrians and drivers. We learned to say STOP, LOOK, LISTEN. 22.11.18

Measuring and Children in Need

We went on a wellie walk. Mrs Sullivan challenged us to find three sticks and put them in order from the shortest to the longest.

Sue and Nicola came to measure us and to test our eyes and ears.

We visited the Forest School area. We had to find a ticket to enter - a special leaf. We found lots of leaves inside and somebody thought that they heard an elephant but it was just a pheasant!

We dressed up to support Children in Need.
