Welcome to our new Bumblebee children!

We have had lots of new experiences in school already.

We have had our first school lunches and we have been making friends with our Buddies.

We have been exploring our school and playground.

Some children have been on a rocket to space.

Other children have been building on our construction site.

We have had cooking in the sand kitchen and lots of stories told in our outside area.

We have made fruit smoothies and we have had our first P.E. too.

Warm Summer Days

We have been learning about keeping healthy on hot Summer days; putting on sun cream, wearing sun hats, keeping in the shade and drinking lots of water.

We discuss how much water we have drunk during the day. Some children say "I have drunk half of my bottle" or "My bottle has the greatest capacity."

We thought about other healthy drinks and tried water with slices of either lemon, lime or orange and we found out that lime was most popular.

We listened to the story of The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch and retold the story. We made boats and tested and raced them in our own boating lake.

Forest Schools at Knettishall Heath

We had a fantastic day under the shade of the forest at Knettishall Heath. First, we looked for creatures then made our favourite with clay and natural materials from the forest floor. Then we made a mini den for our creatures. After that we made dens for ourselves!

Puppet Show

Today, we had a fabulous puppet show. All the money that we raised at our Bedtime Story Evening, paid for Miraiker to bring her puppets to perform the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We even got to use the puppets too for our own stories.

Our Farm Day

I

We learned about and did some of the jobs that farmers do. We climbed on the tractor, we planted some seeds, we picked some mushrooms, collected eggs and cared for and fed the lambs and chickens.
