Farm Day

We had a Farm Day at school. We looked at two tractors and talked about what was the same and what was different.

Farmer Seb showed us some of the things that farmers grow and we learned what these things are made into.

We talked about how plants grow and what helped them to grow.

We learned about sheep and chickens and how to look after them.

Gingerbread Man, Visitors and More

The Gingerbread Man disappeared but then we had a letter from him explaining that he was not lost but had run away. We have had some postcards from him all the way from Las Vegas, South Africa, India, Japan and Bali.

Nurse Wardle came to talk to us about her job and about keeping healthy.

We went on a frosty walk and found these treasures.

When it snowed we went outside and when we came back in we made Snowman Soup to warm up!

We have been watching the birds and counting those we see. We have made a bird hide and bird feeders.

We were talking about shapes, patterns, length and distance as we made kites. We then tested and adapted or changed them.

We learned about Chinese New Year.

Here we are at our Bedtime Story Evening.

Our parents came in again to see our Learning Journeys.

We had a visit from some mini monsters!

We have been reading the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes by Jan Fearnley. Mr Wolf read a recipe, wrote a shopping list, counted his money, bought the ingredients and made pancakes. We decided to buy ingredients for pancakes too then we made and ate them!

Sorry that there are no photos yet but we have had a technical problem with the internet and Blogger. Hopefully, lots of photos to come soon!
