A Rainy Day in Forest School

It was a really rainy day in the forest today but the children dressed themselves up in really warm clothes and we went outside anyway.  We caught rain drops on our noses and tongues. We decided to try and build some shelters to protect us from the rain. Everyone helped to move long sticks by dragging them or carrying them with a friend. Some children worked together sharing tarps, sticks, pegs and string to build their shelters. One shelter had a door and carpet! Other children explored in the ditch. Somebody said that there might be water in the ditch because it was raining. We discovered that it was full of mud. Some the children became mud monsters!
